Swontin Nakha: Wo Nhu Da

Swonti started Thursday and this week is one of our biggest festivals, biggest days of us. Today is the Laxmi Puja, Mha Puja tomorrow and then Kija Puja the day after. I didn't fly out to DCA as I thought nor to DFW, so I am here.

So, far this weekend was good. I did some shopping on Friday night at macys for Jeans and some legging for workout. I am excited to receive those.

Yesterday, I went to the cycling class, I was a bit disappointed but, overall I got the workout. Then was my swim class, which went well. I watched a nice movie after swim and then was time to go to a fren's for dinner.

I met new people and it was nice talking, playing Uno till late. By the time, I reached home was Sunday morning. I was so tired, I fell asleep quickly too. I woke up around 8am, and I found myself feeling tired, my right nostril was blocked, my knee aches slightly, so was my left shoulder. I also had a headache from the nostril blocked.

I finally woke up, made breakfast and called home. I talked to my brothers, then was time to get fresh and head to Rupen dai and Rachhya didi's place. It was about 11:30 or so when I reached there. Then after the puja was over, we had prasad or some snack. Hanging out with family and friends were nice. I also got the house tour, which was nice. Overall, the house's best thing is that, it sat on unhill and view from the living room, the park. Soon, it was lunch time around 2pm, everything was mild food wise, which I needed these past few days. And soon it was time to head home.

After saying bye to everyone, I decided to make a stop at DSW, I didn't see anything to purchase so I made another stop at Cub Foods for grocery. I came home and started laundry. I was so tired and sleepy at Cub Foods, I thought would sleep after coming home. Oh that became a dream.

I also talked to Puspa dai before I picked up my laundry, it was nice to talk to him. Then I brought all my laundry, air dried, made some fried Wai wai and then purchased a pair of boots from Macy's. Now here, I am typing this entry. I am tired and just hoping to have a good night sleep.

Phew!! another week went and now its time for a Happy Hour with Melissa

Yes, again this week is Yard House. It was just about 4:30pm when we met up, the place was starting to fill up soon. We got the booth as usual, except the booth were so big, we could lie down and still more space left. Anyways, we ordered some drinks, and food. I hadn't eaten much all day. So, decided to have Margarita Pizza and Mushroom Lettuce wrap, but I made sure Mel would have some Pizza. 

She ordered Tuna roll and chicken wings. We shared the Tuna roll and Pizza, awesome and so much food actually. We had so much to talk as we hadn't met for a while. I can' remember when was the last time, I met her. 

Anyways after the HH, it was time to make a stop at Charming Charlie and I returned the necklace I had purchased in September and I bought an ear ring instead. So, this is my Friday. And after the HH, I also made a stop at Menards to get a glass food storage box and Detergent. After that came home and now relaxing with TV on. And now about to watcha a movie. 

Fifth swim class, was looking forward to go in the deep side of the pool to try scissors kick

I had an okay sleep but I was still tired when I woke up, probably the gloomy weather. It was about 8 am, I decided to go to the gym and checked the class schedule. I remembered Stephanie's spin class. So, after getting ready, I drove out and since it was too early, I decided to make a stop at Super Target for dish washing scrub. In addition, I also purchased some Glade candles and then next stop was gym.

I met Adrian amd also Barb, chit chat for few minutes, it had been a while we met and talked. Soon, the Stephanie showed up and asked me about my knee. The class started and was awesome workout. After gym, on the way back, I made a stop to get some avocadoes and ended up with some more vegetables. I came home, made some fish wrap and then was almost time for the swim class.

I was looking forward to go to the deep side to try scissors kick. Since today is the lifejacket day, I was feeling okay yet a bit scared, after I found out its not 6ft but 12 ft deep. First five minutes, I tried the feeling of floating with the life jacket and was super fun. Then I decided to try out the deep side of the pool to the scissors kick and something else, I cant remember the name. I enjoyed so much, I ended up spending my class time till almost 12.40pm.

I also tried so swim with the board and also the swim dumbbell. At first the dumbbell was hard but I got the hang of it. Soon, the class was over and was announced that there is no class next week. I was happy to hear that because I wasn't going to miss a class. Hopefully, I will spend sometime in water this week.

One Sunday afternoon, I made a stop to have noodle at a Japanese restaurant in Uptown before grocery shop

Before making a stop at the grocery store, I made a first stop at a Japanese Noodle restaurant. The Ramen Noodle was good but it could be better. I looked at few things in the list, I wanted to avoid Carb but there wasn't much choice so I had to have this.


The soup was good but wasn't super salty. I wish I had a choice to use some fish or shrimp, would have been superb. Just looking at the picture, my mouth is watering and making me want to eat again.

Fourth swim class, so far I am liking it

Today's class I found out that, I can still flutterkick and swimwith the board. I swam for about 10 minutes or so, small distance. I am proud of myself. I hadn't done that for some long I was a bit worried, but it was awesome. I also learned a better technic to do scissors kick better with my arm bent vs straightened arm. Overall was nice. We ran out of time so next week, I am going to the deep side of the pool and try the scissors kick. Excited about it.

After swim, I came home and got ready to go to Junu didi's so we could head for Mohoni gettogether. I didn't know the hosts, but then I met so many people I knew. None of them are close people but I just knew them, it was okay, so didn't have to be bored till super late.

Happy Hour and Dinner turned into the Hyland Park chair lift ride for the Fall color

It was a windy and cold day. After work, we met up at the Hyland Park, signed the waiver forms, bought the ticket got in line for the chairlift ride. It wasn't scary as it was very slow ride, The view however, was not very pretty. If it was a nice day, it would have been nice. It was so cold, as soon as we reached up, all of decided to purchase different drinks and food to stay warm.

We walked up towards the bonfire, sat there, drank our coffee, hot chocolate, ate chips and burgers etc. We also got our picture taken. After hanging out and talking for a bit, we decided to head down. We went to check if we could ride on the chairlift, however it was an one-way ride. We had to walk down the hill. There was a steeep and less steep side. I decided to go the less steep hill as I didn't want to hurt my already aching knee.

We then decided to meet up at the Yard house for some drink and food. The place was very full as usual, luckily I found 3 chairs in the back of the bar. It was meant to be for us. After Heather and Erin came, we ordered some drink and some food to go along with. We hung out for about an hour and then was time to head home. One good Friday evening with friends.
